About Me

Hi, I’m Jessica — So Glad You’re Here!

I’m a wife, a mom, and a lifelong lover of stories. When I’m not reading or editing, you’ll probably find me playing a game, exploring nature, or working on my own writing. Creativity has always been at the heart of what I do, and that passion extends into my work as a proofreader and editor.

A Love for Stories & the Little Details

Stories have always been a part of my life. From a young age, I wasn’t just reading books—I was examining them. I noticed how sentences fit together, how a paragraph flowed, and, yes, even the little typos that others might overlook. What started as an instinct grew into a skill, and now, I use that skill to help authors polish their work and bring their stories to life.

I’m not just an editor; I’m a writer, too. I understand firsthand how much effort, heart, and vulnerability go into every manuscript. That’s why my approach is all about balance—refining and strengthening your writing while ensuring your unique voice remains intact.

My Background

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education and am a certified proofreader through Proofread Anywhere. My professional training, combined with years of hands-on experience in the literary world, allows me to approach editing with both technical expertise and a deep appreciation for storytelling.

I’ve had the privilege of working closely with authors, including my long-term editing and proofreading role on the upcoming book series The Shadow of Cáelunárra—the first of which is scheduled for publication in Summer 2025. Every project, whether large or small, receives the same level of care and attention to detail.

My Approach

My focus is always on clarity without compromise. I want to preserve the heart of your work while helping you refine and sharpen every sentence.

I provide detailed, honest, and constructive feedback—always with respect for your voice and vision. Whether you’re preparing your manuscript for publication or simply looking for feedback on your latest draft, I’ll work with you to ensure your writing is clear, clean, and ready for the readers waiting to pick it up from the shelves.

Genres I Work With

My services are best suited for authors writing in:

  • Fiction

  • Fantasy

  • Young Adult

  • Coming of Age

  • Children’s Books

If your story falls within or near these genres, I’d love to help you bring it to its clearest, most polished form.
